(3) (B.S.) This course focuses on the transition of nursing students from an associate degree program to the role of the BSN graduate. Development of a variety of learning strategies and approaches to enhance academic success will be emphasized. The history and evolution of the nursing profession, ethical imperatives, and current trends and issues impacting professional practice in an evolving healthcare delivery environment are foundations for the development of the professional nurse. The role of the BSN prepared graduate focuses on utilization of evidenced-based nursing practices and advanced leadership and management skills in a variety of settings within a global community. An additional special fee is required.
