ARH 2000 - Art Appreciation |
(3) (A.A.) Three hours lecture per week. This course meets Area IV requirements for the A.A./A.S. General education requirements. This course is a multimedia/lecture approach to the understanding and appreciation of art. The course introduces the student to the formal elements of art, the different art mediums and how art is made, as well as placing art in a historical context. Emphasis will be placed on the changing role of art and artists throughout history as well as the political, cultural and scientific values that have molded the art world. This course meets part of the International/Intercultural requirement.
