(3)(AA) This course is an introduction to Health delivery systems including their purpose, organization, general functions and staffing. Facilities such as hospitals, nursing and rehabilitation centers, health maintenance organizations, private and public outpatient clinics and health care centers are analyzed and discussed. Additional topics include an overview of accreditation standards; licensure agencies, reimbursement systems; legal/ethical issues; healthcare computerization; documentation, quality, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
