EEC 3731 - Health, Nutrition & Safety of Young Children |
(3) (B.S.). The purpose of this course is to provide students with knowledge of appropriate health, safety, and nutritional practices implemented in developmentally appropriate educational programs for children ages birth through eight. The course includes focus on proper emergency procedures and the recognition and prevention of childhood diseases as well as child abuse and neglect. The course correlates with the NAEYC Standards for EC Professional Preparation Programs.
