3) (A.A.) (A.S.) Prerequisites ENC 1101 with concurrent registration in or completion of ENC 1102 with a grade of "C" or better. This course meets the 6,000 word Gordon Rule requirement. This course provides a general survey of critical introduction to Children's Literature, from picture books to young adult novels. This literature may be in the form of realistic fiction, traditional and modern fantasy, mythology and fairy tales, poetry, and/or nonfiction. In addition, critical scholarship written on each sub-genre will be read and analyzed.
