(3) (A.A.) This course introduces the student to the history and culture of African Americans. The aims of the course are three-fold: a) to analyze the discourse that surrounds African American history and culture; 2) to observe major trends in African American history and culture; 3) to examine the critical nexus of race/class and its implications for future generations.
