This course includes exploration of the standard business practices of art. It includes development of a working portfolio, biography, artist statement, goals and a business plan. Students learn the essential skills relevant to begin their careers in the arts.
BLENDED (Online and Face-to-Face) section: Basic computer skills, reliable internet access, and use of SCF Student Email are all REQUIRED. High-speed internet connection strongly recommended. Students MUST login to both Canvas and their SCF Email (both accessible through SCF Connect) on the FIRST DAY of the semester or risk being dropped from the course. Students must check Syllabus/Announcement on Canvas for course procedures and schedule of face-to-face meetings. These meetings will be during weeks 1, 5, 10, 14 of the semester.
