(3) A.A. – ASSOCIATE IN ARTS ELECTIVE CREDIT ONLY. DOES NOT SATISFY A.S. PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS. This is an introductory course that will provide students a foundation in the field of sport management. Topics of study include an overview of the history and business of the sport industry, an examination of amateur and professional sport as well as an introduction to different career segments in the field of sport management. This course is designed to generate interest and develop a basic understanding of the sport industry.
Web-based/Online section: Basic computer skills, computer, internet access and use of SCF student e-mail required. High speed internet connection strongly recommended. There will be no on-campus meetings. Class orientation, assignments and testing will be online. Instructor will provide additional directions in Canvas.
