ENT 2000 - Intro to Entrepreneurship
(3) (A.A.) This course is an introduction to entrepreneurship and covers the characteristics of an entrepreneur, the process of evaluating business opportunities, target customers and market mix, business plan basics, and securing and managing funds to start a business. Students will learn how to assess and evaluate their ideas for a new business and how to develop a business plan: developing an idea into a written outline. Topics will include: feasibility studies, SWOT analysis (strengths, weakness, opportunities, threats), market research, opportunity recognition, idea and product development, team formation, resource funding, and basics for business plan development. GEB 1011 is recommended before enrolling in ENT 2000 although it is not a requirement. Faculty for this course are experienced entrepreneurs.
