MVW 1315 - Applied Music - Saxophone I |
Applied Saxophone I (2) (A.A) One hour per week. The development of intermediate level reading and technical skills and study of standard intermediate classical repertoire. Range, tone, articulation and speed are developed through study of scales, chords, arpeggios and other technical exercises. Memorization is required as appropriate. All students perform in one student recital and exhibit their development through jury examination at the end of the term. Degree-seeking students who are making progress in their degree programs may repeat this course a maximum of two (2) times; however, no more than a total of eight (8) combined credits from Applied Music may count elective credits. Students are advised to consult the transfer university about the number of transferrable credits for Applied Music courses. Additional special fees are required.
