Prerequisite: ENC 0025 or ENC 0022 or EAP 1540 or EAP 1640 and REA 0017 or REA 0019 or EAP 1520 or EAP 1620 or appropriate score on English and Reading placement tests or classified as "exempt" from placement test. This course meets area I of the A.A./A.S. general education requirements and the Gordon rule requirements. This course introduces students to rhetorical concepts and audience-centered approaches to writing including composing processes, language conventions and style, and critical analysis and engagement with written texts and other forms of communication.
